Counselling is giving the client a safe house to explore the rooms of their own mind. Unknown
Welcome to the Bedfordshire Counsellors’ Network (BCN). We know that while the work we do is incredibly rewarding, the path of a therapist can often feel like a solitary one. Whether you are working in private practice in a quiet village or part of a busy agency in the heart of Luton or Bedford, this is your space to step out of the therapy room and into a supportive community.
We aren’t here for the clients; we are here for you. Explore our upcoming meetings, discover local training opportunities, and find the peer support you need to thrive in your career.
Our Mission
Connecting Practitioners, Cultivating Community.
Our mission is simple: to ensure that no counsellor in Bedfordshire has to work in isolation. We believe that a connected therapist is a resilient therapist. By facilitating face-to-face networking, high-quality local CPD, and shared supervision spaces, we aim to build a robust professional family across the county.
We strive to create an environment where knowledge is shared freely, local expertise is celebrated, and colleague-ship is at the heart of everything we do.
Who We Are
By Local Counsellors, For Local Counsellors.
The Bedfordshire Counsellors’ Network is a grassroots collective of qualified and student therapists living and working within the county. We aren’t a massive corporate entity; we are your neighbors and your peers.
Our members come from a diverse range of modalities, from Person-Centred and CBT to Psychodynamic and Integrative, and we share a common goal: to build a local support system that is accessible, friendly, and deeply rooted in our Bedfordshire community. From our active Facebook group to our annual conference, we are the faces behind the therapy doors, coming together to support one another.
